EU: STOP CARCINOGENS AT WORK
Posted on
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work has a new website: Roadmap on Carcinogens. The site aims at preventing workers from being exposed to carcinogens in the workplace.
The new tool provides practical occupational safety and health (OSH) information for companies and workers that can be exposed to cancer-causing agents. It also helps identify the potential risk of exposure and provides targeted solutions on how to protect workers.
In the fight against occupational cancer, EU-OSHA’s Workers’ exposure survey on cancer risk factors in Europe (WES) aims to better identify the cancer risk factors responsible for most of the exposures, contributing to preventive measures, awareness-raising and policy-making actions.
